Moroccan police arrest a Frenchman wanted by US justice

Moroccan police have arrested a French citizen wanted by the US judiciary on suspicion of his involvement in a hacking case against US companies.

According to Agence France-Presse, the suspect is Sebastian Rowe, 21, and was pursued by the International Police (Interpol) at the request of the American justice system.

The young Frenchman is suspected of belonging to a hacker group called “Chinese Hunters”, whose members are accused of committing “profitable” hacking operations targeting companies including Microsoft.

The suspect has been held in Tiflet 2 prison, on the outskirts of Rabat, since June 2, awaiting a court decision to deport him to the United States.

US authorities are demanding his deportation, accusing him of being involved in a “wire fraud conspiracy”, “electronic fraud” and “serious identity theft”. in prison
