The King asks Taboun to turn the page of the past and asks Moroccans to show the values of brotherhood and solidarity with Algerians

Today, Saturday, King Mohammed VI renewed his invitation to Algeria for dialogue and to turn the page on the past.

In his speech on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of his accession to the throne, King Mohammed VI stated that “our commitment to advancing economic and social conditions is only matched by our continued commitment to addressing Morocco’s priorities, regionally and international. levels.”

“In this context, I emphasize once again that the borders that separate the two brother peoples, Moroccan and Algerian, will never be a border that closes the climate of communication and understanding between them,” he added.

And the king continued: “Indeed, we want them to be bridges, to have the future of Morocco and Algeria in their hands, and to serve as an example for the other peoples of the Maghreb.

On this occasion, the King appealed to Moroccans to continue showing the values of fraternity, solidarity and good neighborliness that bind us to our Algerian brothers; We assure you that you will always find Morocco and Moroccans on your side, in all circumstances and conditions.

As for the denunciations, which accuse the Moroccans of insulting Algeria and the Algerians, who irresponsibly carry them out, they want to ignite the fire of the conflict between the two sister peoples. What is said about Moroccan-Algerian relations is unreasonable and bittersweet. We do not and will not allow anyone to offend our brothers and neighbors.”
