The report, presented by Mr. Abdellatif Jouahri, Wali of the Al-Maghrib Bank to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the day before yesterday Saturday at the Royal Palace of Rabat, indicated that these counterfeit banknotes were mainly concentrated in the denomination of 200 dirhams. , with a share of up to 61 percent.

The same source added that the data on this phenomenon indicates that the downward trend continues in recent years, since the currency counterfeiting rate decreased from 6.1 bills per million bills in circulation in 2017 to 3.3 in 2021.

Regarding the identification and utility documents of the insured that it prepares for the benefit of its members, the Bank has prepared and distributed 1.4 million biometric passports, 1.1 million electronic driving licenses, 1 million electronic registration certificates , 70,000 weapons licenses and 800,000 high school licenses. certificates and data points for the benefit of regional education and training academies.
