In the first official position on the Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, Morocco expressed its deep concern about these events.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the Kingdom of Morocco is following with great concern the significant deterioration of the situation in the Gaza Strip, as a result of the resurgence of violence and fighting and the resulting casualties and loss of life and property. . .
The statement added: “The Kingdom of Morocco, whose King, His Majesty King Mohammed VI chairs the Al-Quds Committee, calls for avoiding further escalation and restoring calm to prevent the situation from getting out of control and save the region more tension and tensions that undermine the prospects for peace”.
The statement continued: “Although the Kingdom of Morocco renews its firm positions and support for the rights of the Palestinian people, it affirms that the sustainable solution to the conflict between the two parties, the Palestinian and the Israeli, lies in the establishment of a State independent Palestinian living side by side with the State of Israel in security and peace”.
