One person dead and dozens injured at a Spanish party due to strong winds – today 24

One person was killed and dozens were injured on Saturday morning when the stage of a music festival partially collapsed in strong winds near the Spanish town of Valencia.

Local media reported that the victim, a young man in his twenties, died after parts of the collapsed platform fell on him.
Images circulating on social media show strong winds sweeping across the site, tall trees and structures swaying dangerously and debris flying everywhere, as those present cling to their tents.
According to Spanish meteorology, the Valencian coast was affected last night by “hot downwinds”, a climatic phenomenon in which a strong downward current of air hits the ground and then spreads in all directions.
