The president of the International Federation of Asian and African Trade Unions, Saud Al-Hejailan, denounced the actions of the president of the Republic of Tunisia, Kais Saied, after receiving the leader of the separatist Polisario Front at the Japanese “TICAD 8” symposium for the development in Africa, which is taking place in Tunisia.
The International Federation of Asian and African Trade Unions called on Tunisian trade union organizations to denounce these political steps taken by Kais Saied.
Al-Hujailan stressed that what the Tunisian president did was a blow to all the diplomatic constants and the distinguished relations that unite Tunisia with the Kingdom of Morocco.
He said in a statement: “We in the International Federation of Asian and African Trade Unions always seek to reject discrimination, strengthen the bridges of relations and respect the sovereignty of states, and through this, we support the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco and its full sovereignty over its desert, and we express our absolute rejection of this incomprehensible behavior in the context of regional and international instability.
Given the firm positions and support for the unity of the union, Al-Hujailan called on the Presidency of the Republic of Tunisia to abandon such positions that call for division.
