Bank Al-Maghrib reported that the annual growth rate of bank loans to the non-financial sector increased, on an annual basis, from 3.9 to 4.6 percent during the month of July 2022.
Bank Al-Maghrib clarified, in a note on its main monetary statistics indicators for July 2022, that this development was characterized by an increase in loans granted to families by 3.6 percent, after 3.3 percent. , and loans granted to non-financial private companies for 7.3 percent after 6.3 percent.
By economic category, the distribution of loans granted to the non-financial sector showed an increase in treasury facilities by 12.2 percent compared to 10.6 percent, and real estate loans by 2.3 percent compared to 2.1 percent, and a slowdown in the decline of equipment loans by 2 percent, 0.1 percent after 2.5 percent, in addition to a slowdown in the growth of consumer loans of 3, 2 to 2.8 percent.
Regarding delinquency, its annual growth rate went from 4.8 percent in June to 6.4 percent in July, while its rate reached 8.8 percent.
On a monthly basis, Bank Al-Maghrib highlighted that bank loans to the non-financial sector increased by 0.6 percent, with treasury lines rising by 1.4 percent, and loans for equipment and consumption in 0.1 percent, and a decrease of 0.1 0.4 percent for real estate loans.
