The Royal Moroccan Football Federation officially announced the hosting, at the Moulay Abdallah complex in Rabat, of the match between Wydad Sports Club and its counterpart Nahde Berkane, in the final of the African Super Cup, on September 10, starting at eight pm. .
Wydad Athletic won the African Champions League title, after defeating Egypt’s Al-Ahly with two clean goals, in a match that was played on the ground of the Mohammed V complex in Casablanca.
Nahdet Berkane won the CAF Confederation Cup, beating South Africa’s Orlando Pirates 5-4 on penalties, after finishing the match in its original time and in extra time, with a goal for himself, in the match that was played in the Goodswill Akbabio International Stadium in Oyo, Nigeria.
In the same context, the Referees Committee of the African Football Confederation decided on the name of the Algerian referee, Mustafa Ghorbal, to direct the African Supermatch, which will bring together Wydad Sports and Renaissance Berkane, on September 10.
Mustafa Ghorbal will be assisted in conducting the aforementioned match, with Abdelhak Ichali as first assistant, and Moqrin Qarari as second assistant, while the task of fourth official is entrusted to Ben Brahim Lahlou.
The delegates from Burundi were in charge of following the match, while the team of assistant video referees “Al-Far” will be formed by the Mauritanian Dahan Beda and the Senegalese El Hadj Malik.
