Doctors wear black plates tomorrow Wednesday to reveal the circumstances of the suicide of a doctor

Colleagues of Dr. Rashid Yassin, who ended his life by hanging, are preparing to organize nationwide commemorative vigils at all university hospitals and will wear black badges on Wednesday.

The National Committee of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry Students, and the National Committee of Medical Interns and Residents of Morocco, denounced the “terrible silence adopted by the tutors when revealing the results of the investigation and the circumstances of this tragic incident”.

In order to urgently intervene to restore “Yassin Rashid’s right and cut off all practices that degrade the dignity of students and doctors,” the two committees are expected to correspond with various government and non-government agencies, including the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs. Protection, the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, in addition to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Casablanca, the administration of the Ibn Rushd University Hospital Center, the network of deans of the faculties of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, the Presidency of Hassan II University, the local office of the National Union of Higher Education and human rights organizations.

The two committees warned against some of the intimidating and provocative practices experienced by medical students, interns, and those residing in their places of work and training, especially after this tragic incident.

The two committees called for providing the necessary conditions to ensure a solid professional environment for the training and work of students and doctors, based on pedagogical standards and periodic and objective evaluations at the level of training and training camps.

A young doctor named “Yassin Rashid” ended his life last Thursday; Where he was found dead in his hospital room in the French capital, Paris, after the deceased was training there.
