Morocco’s position has not changed regarding the “serious and unacceptable” reception of the Tunisian president to the leader of the separatist militia – Hoy 24

Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, said that Morocco’s position on the “serious and unacceptable” reception of the Tunisian head of state to the leader of the separatist militia “has not changed”.

In a statement to the media in Cairo, Bourita stressed, according to MAP, that “Morocco’s position regarding the serious and unacceptable reception of the Tunisian head of state to the leader of the separatist militia has not changed. It is the position expressed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad in its statement of August 26, 2022, and shared by the entire Moroccan people and all living forces.

The minister explained that the reference made by the secretary general of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, in a press interview after the conclusion of the work of the 158th session of the Council of the League, to the solution of the dispute between Morocco and Tunisia, “Deals exclusively with a paragraph that the Tunisian delegation proposed to include regarding the TICAD summit, which Morocco categorically rejected”.

Bourita pointed out that the intervention of several sister Arab countries, especially Jordan, made it possible to reach a consensus text regarding cooperation between Japan and Arab countries, without referring in any way to the TICAD summit.
