Union demands to raise the percentage of compensation for medical devices to one hundred percent

Abdelaziz El Tashi, a member of the Administrative Council of the National Social Security Fund of the Moroccan National Labor Union, called for an increase in the rate of reimbursement of health coverage amounts from 70% to 80%, and an increase in the percentage of compensation for medical devices at 100%.

Al-Tashy considered that what was achieved under the agreement between the government, the unions and the Employer, was previously agreed at the session of the Board of Directors during December 2019, in reference to the increase in the retiree pension by 5%, with a minimum of 100 dirhams, retroactively from January 1, 2020, in addition to the reduction of the threshold Retirement benefit in the private sector from 3,240 to 1,320, at a rate of 20.4%.
What has been achieved, according to a member of the Board of Directors of the National Social Security Fund, “will not solve the problems of scandalously high prices, nor will it eliminate injustice and all forms of misery and material and moral injustice as a consequence of the government pointing to the pocket of citizens in general and of workers and retirees in particular”.
