King appoints Ali Chaayeb as head of the National League to Fight Cardiovascular Diseases, succeeding Al-Maouni

The Royal Court sent a letter to the Secretary General of the Government, Mohamed Al-Hajwi, informing him of the appointment of King Mohammed VI, Professor Ali Chaayeb, as president of the National League for the Fight against Cardiovascular Diseases.

According to the letter, “royal instructions require that Professor Chaayeb, in addition to his new position, retain the duties he currently performs.”

This appointment will be effective from September 3, 2022.

Ali Shaayeb’s appointment succeeds Abdel Aziz Al-Maouni, a former private physician to the king. On June 16, 2022, Professor Lahcen Belemni was appointed Special Physician to King Mohammed VI.
Blimni was also appointed director of the Royal Palace Clinic, effective June 16, 2022, to succeed Al-Maouni.
