A new increase in fuel prices is the second in a month – today 24

Fuel prices are expected to see further increases at midnight; It is the second in a row, after a previous increase in the middle of this month.

These increases will mainly affect the price of gasoline, while the price of gasoline will remain stable.

Consequently, the price of diesel will increase by around one dirham (84 cents), for the first hour of November 1, within the limit of 17 dirhams per liter.

The new increase in fuels comes in the midst of great discontent among citizens and transport professionals due to the successive increases in these materials.

The Competition Council had accused fuel distributors in Morocco of nullifying price competition, not to mention doubling their profit margins.

According to data provided by the council chaired by Ahmed Rahho, the profit margins of distribution companies experienced strong increases during the years 2020 and 2021, exceeding the ceiling of one dirham per liter.
